Thanks for the message Brenno! Are you in Ed's class with me? Thanks for following my blog, though I really only started it like two months ago! :D

I took some classes at the CDA back in 2010, while spending a semester in LA. I have very fond memories of Kevin, Rad, and some other CDA people. (Charles and the guys at 3kicks next door are also awesome, by the way). Unfortunately I wasn't able to take Ed's class at the time, though I would have loved to. A while ago I decided to see what he had been up to since and then came across your blog! I hope to be able to go back to LA and take more classes at CDA at some point, Ed's sketching for environment being one of them! Anyway, as I said, you're doing a great job, and you've got a follower. Keep up the good work :)

Brenno ;_; That's so nice. And yeah, I haven't taken any of Kevin's classes yet but I've been hearing about them so much I'm considering it seriously now... (even though I was only planning on taking a few more select classes like story development and cinematic storyboarding). Ed's a REALLY good teacher, I get a headache at the end of every class because my brain's wrinkling so much from everything he imparts to us. He's got a clear, very easy to understand teaching style, and his demos give just as much inspiration as they teach you a new way of sketching environments. I can feel it getting easier for me to draw buildings (ext or int) every time I try now; just a little bit of practice with the correct way of thinking drastically improves the result! I'm sad these classes only last 10 weeks, but unlike the Gnomon classes I took these are full of great information, from the first minute to the last in every 3-hour session. You really get your money's worth.

Have you posted any of your work online anywhere? I'd love to check out your stuff!
